Southernmost Weddings of the Keys is a true labor of love for me. I am so grateful to be able to live and work in one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the United States. I love the community here and the laid back way of life. I have been able to park my car and use my bicycle for transportation, and by and large get out of the hustle and bustle of life on the mainland.
Key West has something for everyone. Wonderful water sports, scenic views, museums, galleries, and world class restaurants. All accessible in fins and flop flops. Sunscreen advised! Our history includes pirates and poets, presidents and songwriters. We have festivals and celebrations every month. Street fairs showcasing art, seafood, and cultural heritage. Our community is proud to celebrate our diversity and history.
One of the many things to love about Key West is our diversity. On any given day, you might see a guy in a spider man suit sitting on a Duval St. sidewalk playing his Sitar or you may be lucky enough to watch one of our world class artists painting a mural on the side of a building. Head down to the beach and watch resident kite boarders sailing through the surf and gliding through the air. They make it look so easy and always have a story to tell. Sit down at one of our famous watering holes and you never know who will be sitting next to you. We’re a favorite spot for celebrities who want to go unnoticed.
Come visit us, we love our visitors, and we get every kind. Young, old, families, couples, folks who dream of the island life, environmentalists and evil developers. I love getting the question, “where do the locals go?” I smile and answer “We’re a very small island, and there is no place we can go that you can’t find us!” Besides, everyone here is on vacation and happy to be here. I love that energy.
Hope to see you very soon, I’ll be the one with the big smile on my face!
